I work as a software engineer for Adobe Systems, Inc. on the Acrobat
team. It was primarily the computer science department at Nevada that
prepared me for this position. The faculty and staff at Nevada taught me
how to work closely with other engineers and designers and gave me my
first major exposure to life in the industry. I have had the experience
of being able to compare the department a Nevada to its counterpart at
one of the most prestigious private institutions in this country. I am
proud to say that the quality of the classes, faculty, and the
department in general is far superior to to what I experienced at The
Farm (Stanford).

I am a software design engineer working for Windows Metadirectory
service for Microsoft. I joined Microsoft in 1999 and have previously
worked on Windows NT and Windows 2000. My master's degree in computer
science from Nevada provided me with a strong technical foundation that
has served me extremely well throughout my career.

I am currently working on my master's and doctorate degrees at the
University of California, Davis. While I have not yet chosen a specific
topic for my dissertation, it will be in the area of virtual reality.
The CS department at Nevada helped in many ways. I was introduced to the
research environment as an undergrad, learned how to be productive in
such an environment, and the research I did at Nevada provided a solid
foundation for my graduate work at Davis.

I am currently working for Yahoo! Inc . as a Technical Yahoo! (software
engineer). Nevada gave me a solid technical background. At Nevada, you
can get close to the professors and they know you well. I felt as if the
teachers were my friends, and that my friends were my teachers.
