The High Performance Computation and Visualization Laboratory is located in the
Scrugham Engineering and Mines Building room 248 at the University of Nevada,
Reno. Founded in 1996 by Dr. Frederick C. Harris Jr., the lab is devoted to developing
new software for existing
virtual reality hardware. Working with VR devices such as optical tracking systems,
C.A.V.E.s, and
stereoscopic displays, we aim to create immersive virtual reality environments.
We enjoy an extensive collaboration with the
Desert Research Institute, and with the
Center for Advanced Visualization, Computation and Modeling in particular.
