Minor in Computer Science
Description

The Computer Science minor program is open to all students at the University of Nevada, Reno. Students who complete the minor program will achieve a strong technical foundation, upon which they may further their expertise in computer science. Additionally, students will have a greater understanding of the role of computers in theri selected field(s) of study.

Course Requirements

To receive a minor in Computer Science, students must complete the following core courses:

In addition to these courses, students must earn six credits in upper-division Computer Science & Engineering courses. Of these six credits, three may be accounted for by either CS 491 or CS 493. In all, students seeking the minor will take 22 credits of Computer Science & Engineering coursework, in addition to the courses of their chosen field of study.
