Logging in Remotely
You will need ssh or putty to access your CS account. Telnet access has
been disabled due to a security vulnerability.
Instructions
To download a secure shell client for your PC see: http://computing.unr.edu/FAQs/SSHpc.html
We recommend using PuTTY as a replacement for telnet and using the Secure FTP program (part of the SSHWinClient package) as a replacement for ftp.
Configure these programs to connect to cs.unr.edu using port 22.
If you are unable to connect to cs.unr.edu, try connecting to pinon.cs.unr.edu using SSH on port 22.
