Cell Position Output
When NCS required the distance between cells (for the computation of synaptic delays), the cells
needed to be assigned specific coordinates (x,y,z). Cells are assigned their positions based on
information from the input file.
Column
The Column has an x, y coordinate pair for the center of the base
It also has width and height parameters. Width establishes the maximum
distance a cell can be from the center of the column. Height will be used
in conjunction with Layer parameters.
Layer
The Layer puts limits on the height parameter of the Column. It applies Upper and
Lower percentages to select a subset of the Column's height and limit a cell's z coordinate
to that subset.
