  • 2009 Theft Data Table
    A theft table that we used as a resource for the problem domain. Comparing the Percent Recovered, especially the differences from the Stolen to the Recovered, we can see that there are millions of dollars that are not returned to the owner. From our External Advisor, he says that the biggest reason for this is because of the lack of information that consumers have towards their property, so if the item stolen is not a large vehicle, the chances of returning the item is 25% and below.

  • 1960-2010 Crime Rates
    This crime rate was more so used for the year, the population, the property crime, robbery, burglary, and the different thefts. We were able to use thistable as a proof of concept of the necessity of our product.

  • Secure Coding in C#
    When creating the password system in C#, ASP.NET, source was really useful in figuring out different and more efficient ways of getting the software to work.

  • UNR Police
    We used this source as our prime example of a Police Service reaching out to the community. There are many resources that are available with the service but a lot of the information gets lost and trying to find the proper place for Property Registration and Reporting Property theft is really difficult. One of the biggest things about this site is that there's nothing in the Property Registration portion of the website.

  • Grand Theft and Petit Larceny: Property Rights in America by Mark L. Pollot
    This book was suggest for us to look through because although we were doing this project, none of us really had a problem with theft. This helped us understand a lot of the procedures that come with Property Theft and how our software can cut through a lot of those steps.
