The MR.I development team would like to give a special thanks to its advisors for their help and support!

Mr. Sebastian Smith

Sebastian Smith is a graduate student for the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno. He works as a research assistant under Dr. Monica Nicolescu in the Robotics Research laboratory. The MR.I developement team would like to give Sebastian a special thank you as he has provided the team an great amount of support. Sebastian will be using the MR.I applicaiton in conjunction with his robotics research.

Dr. Sergiu Dascalu

Sergiu Dascalu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR), which he joined in July 2002. He has a PhD degree in Computer Science (2001) from Dalhousie University, Canada and a Master degree in Automatic Control and Computers (1982) from the Polytechnic of Bucharest, Romania. At UNR he also co-Director of the Software Engineering Laboratory (SOELA). His main research interests are in Software Engineering (in particular, requirements specification, software environments, and software processes) and Human-Computer Interaction (user interface design, visual environments, and simulation environments). Previous work includes real-time systems, database systems, and computer-aided education.

Dr. Monica Nicolesu

Monica Nicolesu is an associate professor for the department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno. Her research interests cover a wide range of topics in the area of human-robot interaction, focusing on the issues of communication, learning, social interactions, and teamwork.
