Currently, I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Computer Vision Lab. at University of Nevada, Reno. I am conducting my research as a research assistant under valuable supervision of Dr. Mircea Nicolescu. I am working on object detection and tracking for video surveillance applications and action/intention recognition.

I got my B.Sc and M.Sc. degrees from the Department of Electrical Engineering at Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, IRAN, in 2001 and 2004, respectively. In December of 2006 I received my second M.Sc. in computer science from the UNR.

Prior to coming to the UNR I worked in Image Processing Lab. directed by Dr. Shohreh Kasaei in S.U.T. and had been Teaching Assistant of the Advanced Digital Image Processing course from October 2003 to February 2004.
