Progress Log: This project is currently in the planning,
research, and preparation stage.
02/09 - 02/13 Project topic decided. Idea from
Dr. Louis to use Sphinx to detect speech.
02/16 - 02/20 Dr. Louis suggested IBM's ViaVoice
as an alternate to Sphinx.
02/23 - 02/27 Looked at the different
versions of Sphinx. Researched automatic language identification in
the UNR Library.
03/01 - 03/05 Looked at ViaVoice.
03/08 - 03/12 .
03/15 - 03/21 Found links to speech research.
03/22 - 03/26 Created project website.
03/29 Found the SONIC
project at the University of
Colorado. I now have a microphone.
Goals for this week:
Get a microphone.
Get Sphinx working.

Learn to use Sphinx.
Start designing project solution.
