Local Yum Updates

For Fedora Core 1 & 2 you can retrieve updates from our local mirror.
To enable this make this change in /etc/yum.conf:

[updates-released]
name=Fedora Core $releasever - $basearch - Released Updates
baseurl=ftp://ftp2.cse.unr.edu/mirrors/fedoralegacy/fedora/$releasever/updates/$basearch

apt-get:

apt-get is the package updater for the Debian operating system. It's popularity has led to it's availability for other operating systems including Fedora and Redhat Linux.
