Project Website Set Up (P-WEB)

February 9, 2004

Due: Tuesday, February  17, 10:00 am

Points: 50

Weight in course grade: 6%

By the due date, set up a website dedicated to your CS 426 Senior Project. You can either use one of the templates provided by Brian Westphal (TA for CS 426) or build up your project’s website from the scratch. As the project progresses, you are required to update the website with new material (in essence, additional related resources and, recommended, small excerpts from your project’s deliverables). The grade for the project website will be decided at the end of the course, after the public Workshop of April 30, 2004. To provide continuity with next year’s CS 426 course, plan to have this website available at least one year after the end of the current semester (that is, at least until May 2005).

At this point in time, the following should be provided on your project website:

·         Project title  (specify this is a CS 426 Senior Project, Spring 2004, at UNR/CS Dept.)

·         Team number, name (if you decide to use one) & team members

·         External advisor(s) with their affiliation

·         Short project description (recommended size: between 200 and 500 words)

·         Project related resources: “problem-domain” book, and pointers to at least three related websites. Note that four additional references (articles/papers) will be required by the due date of Project Specification.

To the above, you can add any other related material that you think will enhance your project’s web-based presentation.
