Projects
- Developed a filter that took existing manuals produced in
Microsoft Word and converted them to man-pages.
- Developed a Motif compliant interface for the man-page system in
UNIX and added hypertext capabilities.
- Debugged and fixed complex bugs in a POSIX message queue library.
- Reviewed and documented the code for an implementation of the
POSIX FORTRAN bindings to the application interface.
- Investigated the capabilities of OSF's Distributed Computing
Environment (DCE) through the development of a distributed Mandelbrot
generator in a heterogeneous networked environment.
- Maintained DEC, Sun, and Intel machines.
- Developed an application to acquire data from the customers of
Intellisystems that would be used to develop a knowledge base for the
customers' sites.
- Worked on a project would convert an Intellisystem's knowledge base
into a set of HTML pages.
- Built two single board computers and developed the firmware. One
was based on a 68000, and the other on an 80451.
- Setup several HTTP servers.
- Developed a remote visualization tool in Java to allow multiple users
to connect to a genetic algorithm across a network and view the
results as they are generated.
- Developed numerous scripts to simplify system administration
tasks.
- Developed several small applications to familiarize myself with OpenGL.
