Currently there are software packages that allow a user to analyze GIS data.
  The problem is that the software is limited in the interaction provided. This
  paper presents a method for merging digital elevation models (DEM) and GIS
  vector layers, and also provided is an interactive visualization tool for
  analyzing the output.
