Battle Mountain is a community rich in cattle ranching and junk collectors. Each group exists in perfect harmony. As ranchers use equipment, the junk collectors swoop in like vultures for the chance to keep "prized" equipement on their "pristine" lots. The result is old equipment that was once very useful, but is now delegated to a life of uselesness.
Every town has a less than attractive neighborhood. The one with plummeting property values and broken down houses. Some may be as bad as the neighborhood you will soon see; however, I doubt they have actual residents. Well Battle Mountain doesn't disappoint. This is possibly the most broken down neighborhood that still has actual residents.
Not many towns have a "hell" station, a brothel, no ice cream parlors and more bars than you can shake a stick at. Well Battle Mountain has that and an environment almost any business is destined to fail in.
