Yes, in fact I do get tired of this stupid disclaimer, but in the US we are really paranoid (with reason) of being jailed for offending the sensitivities of others. The land of the free, home of the brave has good and plenty whiners, with money enough to make you sorry. So we generally just try to cover our asses by saying up front what we used to take for granted.
So read my stuff on the net with care, because I don't take such great care not to offend, that it couldn't happen. AND if it's at all possible for you to be so offended by reading anything, that you would advocate the burning of books, or the jailing of writers, don't read my stuff. (in fact, if you can manage, don't read anything)
Yes, the law is absurd, but it has kept me from being beaten enough times that I don't really advocate disbanding all of it.
I more generally would say...
because I don't want people thinking that I take such great care
not to offend them that they couldn't be offended reading my stuff...
and I had to throw in the little hint that maybe you won't (or don't)
even have a choice to enter into "risky" things under the law
anyway... you might look into
protecting your rights,
as I probably won't be protecting them for you (boy, wouldn't that
make you feel safe).

, PLEASE, I'd like to know what people are thinking,
if anybody at all is reading any of this.
