Speaker Biography: . Lawrence (Lawrie) Lieberman has over 25
years of experience in technology companies, with financial and
strategic roles including mergers and acquisitions, licensing,
partnering and alliances, strategic equity and debt investments, and
corporate control. Lawrie has strong connections with a broad array of
regional, national, and international technology companies, venture
capitalists, financial institutions, and emerging entrepreneurs. His
most recent executive position was as Senior Group Vice President of
Corporate Development for Business Objects (Nasdaq: BOBJ), a global
provider of enterprise software solutions employing 2000 people
worldwide and selling to over 2500 corporate customers in 60
countries. Lawrie has held several other senior management positions
including corporate development posts at Apple Computer, and Chief
Financial Officer at emerging technology companies ranging from
computer-aided-design, energy technology, and healthcare information
systems. Lawrie also served as Dean of Admission of the Stanford
Business School from 1976-1981. Lawrie earned his BA from Dartmouth
College in 1972, and his MBA from the Stanford Business School in 1975.
