x delete the character at the cursor
dd delete a line
Move the cursor to the second line and position it so that it
is underneath the apostrophe in 'em. Press the letter 
, and
the ' will disappear. Now press the letter 
to move into
insert mode and type the letters th. Press 
when you
are finished.
