About ME

Who Am I?

Hi I'm Rahul Dubey I am pursuing Ph.D in Computer Science and Engineering at University of Nevada, Reno under supervison of Dr. Sushil J Louis . My research interests are in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, multi Objective Optimization to evolve a good micro behavior in Real Time Strategy (RTS) games such as StarCraft-II. I am working as graduate research assistant in Evolutionary Computing Systems Lab (ECSL)

.

I did my Master’s in Electrical Engineering from National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, India during 2011-2013 and Bachelor’s in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow, India during 2007-2011.

Project

Project (Vidoes included)

Our proposed EANet (Evolutionary Adaptive Network Deployment Algorithm) deployed UAVs for wireless communication and performed better compared to ATRI (Adaptive Triangular Deployment Algorithm) :

We Compare three different approaches to micro in RTS games, the approaches are :

  • PPFs - Pure Potential Fields
  • NEAT - Neuro-Evolution of Augmenting Topologies
  • MS - Meta-Search
  • Link - Videos

We investigate an evolutionary multi-objective ap- proach to generating micro for real-time strategy games. Good micro helps a player win skirmishes and is one of the keys to developing better real-time strategy game play. Few Key Words :

  • PPFs - Pure Potential Fields
  • EMOO - Evolutionary Multi-Objective Optimization
  • Link - Videos

Developed a VR environment to simulate bridge of a ship. Same environment could be shared by multiple users in different headsets and could interact with each other with realtime voice chat. This could be used for training and mission simulation.

What I do?

Here are some of my expertise

Machine Learning Applications

Tensorflow, Keras, and sklearn models for regression, classification, Deep Q learning

Optimization

Single objective optimization using Genetic Algorithm (GA), and multi objective optimization using NSGA-II and NSGA-III for multi-criteria optimization

Languages

C++, python, C#, HTML, CSS

Game Engine Software

Unity3D, Ogre3D

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean.
