About

I am a PhD student in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno. My research interests are broadly in the areas of machine learning and computational intelligence, with a focus on applications in computer games.

I currently work with my advisor, Dr. Sushil Louis, in the Evolutionary Computing Systems Lab (ECSL) on evolutionary methods for finding robust strategies in Real-Time Strategy (RTS) games. My research aims to use coevolution and case-injection to produce strategies that can adapt to and defeat a player/strategy, and that are challenging in general without being over-tuned for that particular player/strategy. In order to evaluate the robustness of a strategy, we have it compete against other strategies in a RTS game we created called WaterCraft.
