is "Play", there are numerous examples of the creative
utilization of computer gaming in the arts. You should go.
- Journalism 490B - Game
Design for Journalists. Should be a fun course and you
will get good at programming in flash (or convince Larry to
use some other programming language).

Assignments
Machines for this course are in 342D, ask me for the
combination. You will need CSE department accounts, get them
from the office in SEM 242.
- Assignment 1, Due September 21, 28, Oct 5.
- Assignment 2 October: Complete, 3D, game like a racing or other skill game using the lagoon game engine or other game engine. Must run on GameLab machines.
- November: Complete, 2D/3D game of your team's choice.
- Assignment 0: Pick a game and write a critique: Due Sept
9 before class starts. I require hardcopy. For each of the
following criteria write one paragraph on what appeals to you, and
one paragraph on what does not appeal to you.
